On February 5, 2010, Imperial Oil Limited (the “Applicant”), filed a request for hearing regarding the Notice of Proposal of the Deputy Superintendent, Pensions, dated January 6, 2010, to make an Order under section 69(1)(d) of the PBA that the Imperial Oil Limited Retirement Plan, Registration Number 347054 (the “Plan”) be partially wound up in relation to those members and former members of the Plan who ceased to be employed by Imperial Oil Limited as a result of the discontinuance of all or part of its business or as a result of the reorganization of the business of Imperial Oil Limited regarding the move from 111 St. Clair Avenue West in Toronto, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta, during the period from September 28, 2004 to June 30, 2006. On February 9, 2010, an application for party status was filed by The 111 Pension Rights Association. A pre-hearing conference is being scheduled.
Updated to February 25, 2010 At a pre-hearing conference on April 12, 2010, full party status was granted to The 111 Pension Rights Association. The Tribunal also ordered that limited party status be granted to Jean Townsend and Catherine Schell in these proceedings. The Tribunal ordered that this matter be consolidated with FST matter #P0346-2009. Hearing dates are scheduled for October 22, 25, 26, 28, 29 and November 1- 5, 2010.
