On June 1, 2010, ITW Canada (the “Applicant”), filed a request for hearing regarding the Notice of Proposal of the Deputy Superintendent, Pensions, dated April 30, 2010 to refuse to consent to a transfer of assets effective January 1, 2004 from the ITW Canada Plan, the ITW Plastiglide Plan to the ITW Retirement Income Plan under section 81 of the PBA. A pre-hearing conference is scheduled for August 11, 2010. Updated to July 19, 2010 On July 19, 2010 the parties requested an adjournment of the pre-hearing conference to allow the Superintendent an opportunity to review additional documentation provided by the Applicant. The pre-hearing conference scheduled for August 11, 2010 was adjourned. The parties will provide the Tribunal with a further update on August 31, 2010. |
