The Tribunal exercises the powers conferred by the Financial Services Tribunal Act, 2017 and the Statutory Powers Procedures Act, 1990 and has authority to hold hearings and adjudicate appeals under the Ontario statutes that govern the regulated sectors within the mandate of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario, including the:

• Financial Professionals Title Protection Act, 2019
• Insurance Act
• Loan and Trust Corporations Act
• Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006
• Pension Benefits Act
